Okay, here is the part where I’m supposed to tell you all the great places to visit around Phoenix. I’m sure there are a lot of them but I don’t get around much so forgive me if this is not the best list. Although if I were still in So Ca I would have plenty to write about but I’m not so here we go…
If you like hiking (which I do not) there is South Mountain Park where I’m sure you can see many more cactus like this one and a few rattle snakes too.
I’m sure it’s a beautiful view but cactus, snakes, and tarantulas just aren’t my thing.
Okay but really some places I do like to go are…
The Phoenix Zoo where this beautiful Macaw lives
The children’s Museum, how cute is this?
…and of course our wonderful dowtown where you can eat, drink, or catch a game. Go Suns and Diamondbacks!
That completes my tour of Phoenix, Az. It is about 20 miles from me but there really is nothing to do where I live except eat and shop which I already covered in my previous posts. Hope you liked it! I definitley enjoyed touring around everyone elses’s hometowns.
Since we just had a brand new mall open up down the street I spend most of my time shopping there. It is an outdoor mall so kinda hot in the summer but at night after the sun goes down is a nice time to go plus they have misters and a water play area for the kids. It’s a great place to go and hang out when you are tight on money because you can just walk around and the kids can play for free. Right next to the play area is all the kids stores like childrens place, gymboree, pumpkin patch, build a bear, and the disney store. Of course this is great marketing but it is really convienent too since those are pretty much the only stores I frequent since becoming a mom!
For Grocery Stores I love going to the new Fresh and Easy that is very close by. It is so convienent. Do you have one by you? It is a new chain here in the U.S. from Great Britain. They have pre-prepared foods and lot’s of fresh fruits and vegatables. It is a very small store and is fast and easy to check out and get on your way.
Okay so I missed yesterday’s blog trip topic which was about gas prices in my area. I am not too sad about skipping it because thinking about gas prices just makes me sad. It is about a 5 1/2 hour drive to my hometown in California but with gas prices lately I just can’t make the drive as much as I used to. Which means I can’t go to Disneyland as often and that makes me grumpy. Read the rest of this entry »
I am however very excited about todays topic which is about places to eat!!! If anyone knows me they know I love going out to eat and here in the Phoenix area there is A LOT to choose from. We have pretty much every chain restaurant there is because we tend to get both east coast, southern, and west coast chains.
There are so many I think I will just list them by category.
Guess What? No money for a real vacation so I’m going on a blog trip! I am actually really looking forward to checking out some new mommy blogs. There are a lot of creative mom’s out there and I love visiting everyone’s site.
Okay so a little about me. I am 29 years old and live in Gilbert AZ with my husband of 7 years, Chris, and my daughter Eva (18 months). We have been married for 7 years and relocated here to Gilbert from Southern Ca. I really love it here but my hubby wants to move back A.S.A.P.
