I second you on that. People always insist on missing the baby. Sure, all ages have their pros and cons, but the preschool age is my most favorite (so far). I have a 4, 10, & 12 year old. At 4 they are so innocent and real. They entertain you with their comments and love you to no end. Too bad we couldn't freeze them!

Babies are great, except for the crying, sleepless nights, backaches, constant attention required, etc., etc., etc. I have 4 kids, and the age I start to miss the "little" stage is when they head off to first grade. Something changes between kindergarten and first grade. They are sweet, lovable, funny and cuddly...and then, boom! They find out that it is not so cool to be all that to your parents. They develop "the attitude" and learn what backtalk is.

No, it can't get better than that! A close second is having grandchildren and seeing you be a mom.

my 3 year old is very articulate and i sooo love this age, too. i'm very happy reminiscing his baby days and i will forever cherish those days in my heart. but i'm sure whatever stage our children are currently in, that's the stage we love the most.
