Ok I have an idea. Your dream is either about your laptop being stolen or about the book you want to write.

Oh wow Heidi. I'm not even gonna TRY to figure that one out. I would love to see what a dream analyst has to say about it though. Those people always seem to come of up the most interesting stuff that I never would have been able to guess.

I thought of you this morning with your psychotic dream. I had an equally disturbing one last night. It didn't involve anyone I know per-se, just a Japanese man chasing after a Japanese woman on the street I grew up on back in NY. At one point he stabbed her and she managed to flee on ALL FOURS like a wolf or something. I remember thinking, run harder, run faster, RUN! And then she burst into my old neighbor's house, out of breath and bleeding, seeking refuge from the guy who was after her. They hid her under the floorboards, which managed to elude the guy for some time as he popped in and out of houses, including the one where she was hiding, looking for her.

Eventually, I willed myself to wake up. I have no idea what the dream means and I recognize no one in it except for the old guy who used to be my neighbor growing up.

So I take back what I said about Twilight. Crazy freaking dreams can happen to anyone.

I would go with your first theory. I do have the same problem (well, not exactly the same dream). I have had times where I wake up in a panic, and yes, I have checked to see if my little one is awake and wandering in the home by himself (which he doesn't late at night!). I guess it seems like a security measure! Lol. I think it is just because we are so wrapped up in our children, that we even think of possible problems they might get into (even in our sleep!).

That is interesting Marcia. I love dream analysis. What about the fact that I didn't create her? She was adopted. ;-)

I would say that the dream represents the need to change something in your life. Eva in the dream doesn't necessarily represent your baby girl in waking life - in the dream she could represent anything you have created or your creative urge.

Heidi,
You always make me laugh. I've never been obsessed with a book like I have these. I think they're voodoo.

Keith,
Yes, maybe, but I didn't regret it this year. I shopped for 8 hours and got a ton of stuff for great great prices and now all my Christmas shopping is done. My sisters and bil went with so that made it more fun too, it's nice when you can tag team the lines.

Dreams help us deal with our realities. At least they are suppose to according to the experts. They (the experts) also tell us to pay attention more to the emotion the dream creates when we wake up more than the facts of the dream which would drive you crazy if you did try to understand any of them. I have had some lulus too. They wake me up feeling emotional. Your dad wakes up from a bad dream, I ask him are you upset? He says NO! Why would I be upset? So figure that out. It will drive me crazy!

I know nothing about dreams other than that I have them sometimes :-) And, you are officially insane for going out at midnight for shopping!
