Did you know that when you’re out on the road and have a question, like say “where am I?”, you can send a text message to 242242 which apparently spells “chacha”, according to my niece. So you just send a text to that number and you just ask your question. You can ask anything you want and just phrase it like a normal question because it will be sent to an actual person that will then look up the info. for you and text you the answer.
Yesterday I was driving around Tucson, lost, and I texted how to get to the University of Arizona from the cross-streets I was at. It took 7 minutes to get my answer which is longer than if I had GPS on my phone but I still think it is very cool and helpful. It is a completely free service because they send you ads in between sending you the answer. I only got 1 ad and after my answer I didn’t get any more ads.
Here’s the website if you want more information
And again….they are not paying me or giving me anything….I just think it’s really cool.

Interesting concept, especially if you have an unlimited text plan. I have three gps devices (I know, I’m weird). I have a hand-held, and two car ones. One of the car ones is mounted in the dash and can’t be removed. The other is a Garmin and I have more control. Then I’ve got the little hand held one because I once got hopelessly lost in Chicago and bought it on a whim. Anyway, I’ll never get lost again, but I might have other questions
Again, interesting. Thanks.

That site is pretty cool. It’s giving me a chuckle, too. The question “What are the symptoms of pregnancy?” got a pretty stupid answer according to the comments that followed it. Everyone’s saying it must have been a man who said “A general tightening in the abdominal area can start occurring…And fatigue. A general tightening in the abdominal area can start occurring around 4-5 mo. Some women can feel implantation twings.”
People are like “Um. Missed period?”

I wish I had read this before I left for jury duty today. I got SO lost trying to find the Pinellas County Criminal Justice Center. So, so lost. I called Joe at 8 a.m. and WOKE him up so he could point me in the right direction. That’s right, my husband, who reports to a newsroom every day doesn’t wake up until 9:30 a.m. Me, the one who works from home, wakes up at 7.
And Keith Wilcox is out of control with his three GPS devices! I wonder if he’s implanted homing devices in his children.

Great site. Don’t let my son’s friend know about it though. He’ll be asking it for answers to his homework questions. No…wait…do tell him, then I won’t have to listen to him begging my son for the answers and my son repeatedly telling him he’s not giving him the answers. Lol!
