My husband and little E are the cutest things ever. They just left to see a movie, Madagascar 2. E is not yet two but she is a major daddy’s girl and I think it is so adorable when they go and do things together. Now that I am home with her 24/7 I think it’s important for them to just have some quality time together. It also gives mommy some down time so it works out for everyone!
I suggested yesterday that he do something with just her this weekend and he was all over it. He took the initiative today and I could tell he was looking forward to it. She was so excited to go bye bye with her daddy and was all smiles as they were driving out of the garage.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing those two and the love they have for each other. I know how important it is for a daughter to have a dad that makes her feel special and teaches her how a man should treat her. I am so thankful that dh is that kind of father to her.
This is my favorite new show this season. Molly Shannon and Selma Blair are hilarious together and then throw in John Michael Higgins and it is genious. I have always been a Molly Shannon fan from her SNL days and love John Michael Higgins performances in all of the Christopher Guest movies. I haven’t seen too much with Selma Blair before this but she has won me over.
I love how these two “work” the mall with their fabulous outfits. I also love how they can be bickering one second and then completley in agreement the next. Typical mother/daugther relationship right?
Kath, the mom, is 40’s and fabulous with her g string workout clothes and Kim is a 20 something spoiled brat who left her husband because he pressured her to get a job. She argues she is a “trophy wife” and shouldn’t have to work. I love a good comedy and this one is great. Watch it!
Sorry it’s been a weak since my last post but life has been buuuzzzy. We took the little one to disneyland this weekend which was soo much fun. It was good to get away and just have fun as a family. Little E looovvveeed meeting Mickey, Minnie, and Whinnie the Pooh and mommy was in heaven! As soon as she saw Mickey Mouse she RAN up to him with a huge smile on her face. Once she got within reaching distance though she needed a little prodding from Mommy but she happily gave him a hug and a kiss. I know I am just a little obsessed about a big mouse and a fuzzy bear but I just have so many good memories of that place. I grew up 15 minutes from Disneyland and my parents took us whenever they could. Even if we couldn’t go into the park we would hang out and watch the fireworks on the weekends. So I have many many happy memories of that place.
But enough about that, the real point of this post is to present the new award I received from Signe over at Signe Says. Thanks Signe! I am truly touched! I love this award because of what it is about…“This blog invests and believes, in ‘proximity’ [meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' - being close through proxy]. These blogs are all charming and they aim to show the marvels of friendship. Let’s give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to eight bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text.”
I’ve only been blogging for a short time but my favorite thing about it is meeting new people and learning about their worlds. There are so many great blogs out there and I have had so much fun finding them. The eight people I would like to pass this onto are…
Mariecel from cosmopolite-kaffeeklatsch
Left Leaning Lady at My Musings
Yenny Girl at Me and Mine
Wendy at My Rocking Cradle
Porsche at PB&Junk
Cali at Random Thoughts of a Mother of Two
Linh at Girl in Georgia

What can I say. I am so incredibly proud to live in this country today. My faith has been restored in the American people that we have truly come full circle. It is not just that Barrack Obama, the next president of the United States, is African American. It is that he is an educated, charismatic, brilliant African American man who will be the first to hold the highest office in this land. We have finally broken the cycle and opened the door to all people who are capable to serve. I am confident that my daughter will one day soon be able to see a woman hold that office. For that I am beaming with pride. For my daughter, my nieces, and my nephews to be able to imagine that someone that anyone no matter their color or sex can indeed succeed to the leader of the free world with overwhelming support from the citizens of this country.
For those that voted for John McCain, I am sorry that your candidate didn’t win. I was incredibly moved by the speech he gave last night. He truly is an American hero and proved that he has a lot of class.
Another something to think about on this election eve.
Happy voting!
